BRIAN BLAIN - Originally from the hills of rural Quebec, now
based in Toronto, Brian "Colorblind" Blain has been
performing his unique brand of slow-cooked, solid-groove
folk blues for more than 40 years - soulful, thoughtful,
always entertaining. His current release on NorthernBlues includes four tracks with Michael Jerome
Browne and guest appearances by Harry Manx, Paul Reddick,
members of Downchild and other Canadian blues
luminaries. |

Magic Slim and the Teardrops
- Magic Slim is a living blues legend. Slim plays raw
intense blues, a style that uses no pedals or other
electronic gadgets to get his sound, it's just him. He's
paved the way for rock as well as modern blues. Slim has
been busy traveling to the juke joints in Mississippi to
the nightclubs in Chicago and to concert stages
throughout the world, he has built up a die hard fan
base within it. |

DOWNCHILD
- Since 1969 led by harmonica/guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Donnie
'Mr. Downchild' Walsh, the Downchild Blues Band is the
premier blues band in Canada.
Their saxophone-driven jump blues provided a major
inspiration on Dan Aykroyd and the late John Belushi's
Blues Brothers, who included Walsh's tunes,
"Everything I Need (Almost)" and "Shotgun Blues",
on their 1978
debut album, Briefcase Of The Blues. |

- Jack de Keyzer is a Juno and 7X Maple Blues award winning
artist, blues guitarist, singer, song writer and
producer. The London, England, born, Canadian resident’s
career has spanned over three decades. Jack
De Keyzer has released 6 CD's and 1 DVD. He has
performed as a session guitarist with Etta James, Otis
Rush, John Hammond Jr., Robert Gordon,
Willie Big Eyes Smith, Bo Diddley & Blue Rodeo and many
more. |

- Singer, songwriter and harp player extraordinaire, with
twelve CD's over twenty years. He's recorded and toured
with the Phantoms, Alannah Myles, Dutch Mason, Jeff
Healey, Ronnie Hawkins, Jack de Keyzer, Jimmy Bowskill
and Suzie McNeil. Jerome has performed on stages across
Canada, the USA, Europe and beyond. He's played with
Pinetop Perkins,
James Cotton, Tragically Hip, Levon Helm, Billy Ray
Cyrus and more. |
